Treading the Ancient Path of Respect and Humility (Part 1)

REV. O. T. BENSON CHARGES CHRISTIANS TO TREAD THE ANCIENT PATH OF RESPECT AND HUMILITY DURING THE LAST SUNDAY SERVICE OF THE MONTH

The Minister noted at the beginning of the sermon that the topic “Treading the ancient path of respect and humility” was a historical one because it points to the good things of old. He further explained that respect is an expression of high regard to a particular thing or situation. Humility on the other hand simply means freedom from pride or arrogance. The Bible reading was taken from 2 Kings 1:13.

Furthermore, the Cleric advised members of the congregation to always respect other people in the society at all times, especially those who are older than them. He also urged them to lead a good life in everything they do,and live in respect and humility without being proud or arrogant. He concluded the sermon by encouraging the members of the church not to emulate Ahaziah’s bad character, but rather live as children of God always.
